Vertiglide With Matching Cordless cellular shade

Some feedback I get from people lately is there tried of vertical blinds and want to know what their alternativesa are. There are many options for patio door window treatments theses days. It all depends on what you like and what your needs are. One alternative is vertical cellular shades. Vertical cellular shades have more of a modern look and are great at keeping the chill and glare out

Vertical cellular shades were first introduced by HD under the name vertiglide. Since then other companies have produced them. There are some differences between each manufacture aminley in the headrail. As far as appearance they all are very similiar. The one big difference I found is mainly price. Brand names like HD can cost 50% more than other brands.

Here is a review of the benifits and downsides to vertical cellular shades

  •  Vertical cellular shades are a cellular (honeycomb) in a vertical position…it easily slides back and forth.
  • Whether your window is 50 inches wide or 150 inches wide, the stack is always 6 inches…Makes for a nice clean look and doesn’t take up much room.
  • Energy efficient, hot and cold air is trapped is cells…Saves you money on energy bills.
  • Safer treatment because there are no cords for children or pets to get hung up in.
  • Available in light filtering or room darkening…Fits your needs
  • Either opened or closed…less light control
  • Installation can be tricky…customer feedback is installation is do able but instructions could be better written.

Overall the vertical cellular more modern vertical alternative to patio door window treatments. It offers good insulation and protects your furniture from the suns glare. A safe treatment for your children and easy to operate. The downside is you have less light control than a vertical blind and the installation can be more complex…..more info
